PARISIAN FLORAL EMBROIDERED MAXI DRESS

Cute dress but runs wayyy big. I usually wear a large or size 10 in dresses from here, ordered an L for this and I was swimming in it :/, I would say it's more of a 12-14. The base fabric is thick with an inner lining & feels high quality, it has enough stretch to give you an extra 3-4in of wiggle room, so if you want it to fit more bodycon like the model then you need to size down. The boning gives good structure, if you have a large bust you'll be fine, but flatter girlies may have gapping at the neckline/strap. The sequin appliques are sewn on thin black fabric and attached to the dress from there rather than along the edges of the gold like one might expect (lots of space between the seam and the actual gold parts). It looks mostly fine but if you look closely you can also see the unfinished edges of the black mesh fabric sticking out and fraying (the beaded parts are very pretty tho). I will probably trim down the excess fabric along the border to 1/8in at least so the fraying isn't as noticeable, it's pretty uneven and roughly 1/8in-1/2in. The dress hit lower on my shin than expected (I'm 5'10), may be the size issue and heaviness of the fabric (straps felt loose too).

I re-ordered in a size S (yes, that drastic), if it fits and gets here in time for my event I would be willing to give it 4 stars, but I am down an extra $30 from the return & now having to expedite shipping, plus lost $25 in points, which is really frustrating when I'm already paying full price and now…
