Domestic Shipping & Handling

Here are the domestic shipping options and their estimated costs. Check the table for expected delivery days for expedited shipping orders. *Expedited shipping rates may vary based on the size of your cart.

STANDARD SHIPPING - 5-10 business days 

  • FREE Standard U.S. Shipping on qualifying orders of $75 or more, excluding sale items (before tax.) $7.95 Standard U.S. Shipping for orders that do not meet the Free Shipping threshold -  Alaska, Hawaii, Virgin Islands, Puerto and Guam. Allow 7-14 business days for these territories. 

2-DAY SHIPPING  - 2 business days

  • Orders placed by 3:00 PM CST, Monday-Friday - Starting at $20. Cost based on location.

OVERNIGHT SHIPPING  - Next business day.

  • Orders placed by 3:00 PM CST, Monday-Friday - Starting at $30. Cost based on location.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - Standard Shipping only - 10-20 days 

Order Placement & Shipping Schedule

Please allow 24-72 hours processing time for all orders placed with standard shipping. As soon as your order is processed you will receive an email notification with tracking 

Priority Orders placed after 3 PM CT are processed the next business day. Weekends are excluded and should be considered when selecting your shipping method. During holiday weeks, please expect an additional one-day delay.

Overnight Shipping (Placed before 3 PM CT) → Delivered Next Business Day
2-Day Shipping (Placed before 3 PM CT) → Delivered in 2 Business Days 

  • If your order is placed after 3PM add an extra day for processing. Example: if you placed and order Monday, after 3pm, your order will be processed Tuesday, delivered Wednesday. 

To ensure successful delivery, please verify that your shipping address is complete and accurate. Include all necessary details such as:

  • Apartment or suite numbers
  • Correct abbreviations and Spelling 
  • Building numbers

Orders to PO Box and APO/AFO addresses will be shipped via the U.S. Postal Service.

Shipping charges for standard, 2-day, or overnight deliveries that are delayed due to carrier delays, inclement weather, or incorrect shipping information being provided are not refundable.

I placed my order, now what? 

Please allow 48 business hours for processing from the time when your order is placed to receive shipping information. Under unusual circumstances of extremely high volume, please allow up to 72 business hours of processing time. This excludes holidays and weekends.

You will receive a shipping confirmation and tracking number for your order via email.

In case an item(s) selected isn’t in stock, you will be notified via email, and a refund will be processed for that item(s).

AKIRA is not responsible for stolen or lost packages if the carrier determines that the order was delivered correctly.

Free standard shipping applies to orders shipping within the 48 contiguous U.S. states. Please allow 5-10 business days for delivery using standard shipping. Not valid on orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Guam.

Orders placed with a subtotal of $600.00+ will require a signature upon delivery.

International Shipping and Handling

Transit times are typically 10-20 business days for standard international shipping. 

Orders shipped to U.S. territories, including Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Guam, are subject to international shipping rates.AKIRA does not cover taxes, duty, or fees on international shipments which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Customs policies vary widely from country to country therefore we cannot predict what they will be. For specific information regarding custom policies and taxes, please contact your local customs office.

Shipping fees are non-refundable. If you refuse any shipments from shopakira.com, you will be held responsible for the original shipping charges, plus the cost of returning the package to us. This amount will be deducted from your merchandise refund. Shipping charges that are delayed due to inclement weather are not refundable.

Where’s My Order?

After we ship your order, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking info. For enhanced tracking and updates, download the Route app for iOS or Android to monitor your package's journey and receive delivery alerts.

How Does Route Work?

If your Route-protected package is lost, damaged, or stolen, their support team will step in to either replace the item or issue a refund, based on your preference. Claims are typically reviewed within 1–2 business days of being submitted.

How Are Refunds or Reorders Handled Through Route?

Refunds: When refunding an item, Route covers the subtotal, shipping, and taxes if the merchant has Automatic Issue Resolution enabled.  

Reorders: Route may reorder items for you, provided they’re still in stock. If an item is out of stock, a refund will be issued. Route also covers reorder costs, including shipping, taxes, and protection fees.

When Should I File a Claim?

Marked as Delivered (Stolen):
Submit a claim no earlier than 2 business days and no later than 30 days after the package is marked delivered.

In Transit (Possibly Lost):

  • Domestic Orders: Claims can be filed 2 to 30 days after the last tracking update (up to 365 days from the order date).

  • International Orders: Claims can be filed 20 to 30 days after the last update (also up to 365 days from the order date).

What If My Order Never Arrives or Gets Stolen?

With Route Package Protection can help in these cases! To safeguard your order against loss or theft, be sure to add protection at checkout. If your item hasn’t shown up, you can file a claim here. 

If you received a proof of delivery, and your order is not there, and you did not purchase Route shipping protection please contact us at support@shopakira.com. While we do not cover lost or stolen orders, we are happy to investigate this together. Please wait 48 hours after delivery for first contact. 

What If My Order Arrives Damaged?

If your package arrives damaged due to shipping, Route has you covered. Be sure to take clear photos of the item and its packaging for your claim. You can submit a claim here

If the issue appears to be a manufacturing defect, please contact our team directly so we can resolve it for you. You can also submit photos of the damage returns.shopakira.com "return reason: damage/defective"

Is Route a Licensed Insurance Provider?

Route isn’t an insurance company itself, but it is authorized to provide access to shipping insurance through its licensed entity, Route Insurance Solutions. This ensures that Route Protect is legally compliant for businesses to offer as shipping protection.

What if I didn't Pay for Route Shipping Protection and have a issue with my order? 

If you did not add shipping protection to your order, we’re still here to assist. While we do not cover lost or stolen packages without Route, we’re happy to help investigate any issues you may be experiencing and work through them with you.
