LEAH TWEED MINI DRESS

That’s right… A bit Moulin Rouge fabulous mixed with a dash of tweed frustration, maybe a few dashes of frustration. Ok concept of dress so fabulous and different…like AKIRA does so well. I love that this is constructed of tweed, so unexpected with metallic threads here and there hitting the light . I bought a size Small and a size Medium not certain a small would fit me with tweed not being a stretchy fabric typically. I’m a 34C bra sometimes a D cup, 28 waist 5’4. The size small definitely fit, if anything I’d say was a tad big in the non adjustable stomach section. The boning curves out a little bit in a non flattering way. It may be worth altering. I also would want to shorten it because it would be far more sassy and flattering as a more mini length like the model vs mid thigh. When the size small was on me I felt very torn if I should return it or not being that I was looking at al, the changes I’d want to make BUT the thing that really got me (should have taken a photo) was the pile of yarn it shed from the hip sections. I saw the yarn bits on the floor and and then gently ran/combed my fingers through it. There was such a significant pile that formed underneath. Mind that the dress still looks perfect but I wonder if this was going continue to be a thing. You’d end up with sparse sides and deposit little bits of the dress everywhere. I think it shows how much I love what AKIRA is doing with fashion that I didn’t downgrade my rating for that alone. I’m still…
