PEOPLE CHOICE BROCADE WINTER COAT

First off: this is BEAUTIFUL coat! Well made, quality material, excellent cut. (The collar/lapel is my favorite part). This is not a heavy coat. The brocade is light-mid weight textile. Slightly puffy batting/insulation inside and the soft lining makes it great for weather of late autumn to early winter. However, unlike a heavy brocade this coat is pretty stiff and does not drape or allow your body to influence the shape of the coat as you wear it. Which isn't a bad thing but as person who is under 5' tall, this coat (in a small) wears me. But given how it "stands against" the body along with the subtle extravagance of the brocade, this wears like the heavily decorated over-robe of a Kabuki performers kimono, which makes how "big" this is on me VERY FORGIVABLE! (Also similar to how enveloping a 1920's velvet cocoon coat is). The overall length of the coat stops just below mid-calf. This is going to be a wonderful article to style! I almost want to purchase another just wear around the house.
