    The fur around it is awful. It never stayed on. The fur around the arm came off and I loss it. The fur makes it different from a regular bubble jacket..

    I LOVE ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING FROM AKIRA… LITERALLY

    Once again… I absolutely love everything from AKIRA.

    I was so close to keeping this coat thinking maybe I could even have a seamstress replace snaps where the buttons are since the removable fur would not stay attached with the current button and elastic system they have. However, that wouldn’t be very cost-effective because it would cost me almost as much, if not more than the coat itself. But I will say I love the coat so much that I was truly contemplating keeping it and just paying to have alterations. My intention was to wear it with the fur attached at all times. Sadly, the fur does not stay attached. I even went in and did multiple loops around the buttons with the elastic provided since it’s that form of attachment and it still came undone.

    If they ever make this coat with snaps instead of elastic and buttons for the fur to attach it would stay much better (and I would buy five of them if I could because the coat is stunning. Per the usual from Akira!). I hope they do somehow reinvent this coat to have snaps or something similar in order for the fur to stay attached because I would buy this one 1000 x’s over!
